So as most of you know I have an etsy site where I have some custom Wedding invitations.
If you don’t know already it’s here. www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings You can also click on the light to the right of this post.
Anyway a friend at work is getting married and found an invitation that she liked and asked if I could do something like it for her. I of course said “No Problem”. We then got into the discussion of printing the invitations. Initially we were going to have them printed by a third party but then wasn’t sure if we could get the envelopes to look right and she couldn’t have all of the size cards that she wanted.
Envelopes.com came to the rescue. I could get all of the sizes that she wanted for her cards and have envelopes that coordinated perfectly. All I had to do was make sure that…
- I could size the pieces accordingly so that they printed nicely
- My printer actually was ok with such heavy cardstock.
#1 wasn’t a problem. #2 was a different story. Thank goodness I still had my backup printer for the cardstock.
So I printed everything using one printer for the cards and the other for the envelopes. Because everything was one color and I used the color of the card to supply the background it didn’t use a whole lot of ink so that was super exciting.
Using an Excel template I printed all of the guest envelopes as well so there was no hand writing involved. I also did the return address on the flap of the envelope so all the bride had to do was put them together and put stamps on. She also added a ribbon to the invitation to put them all together.
The best part about this was that the total weight of the invitation was light so she only needed one stamp on the outside envelope.
The other upside for the bride was that it turned out that she needed more than what we initially had thought and because I ordered extras it was no problem to print more for her. A task not so easy if we had used a commercial printer to print everything.
This was a super fun project and I hope to help other brides with their invitation in the future.
Also if anybody needs envelopes printed for anything please reach out. I charge $0.25 per envelope, FYI way cheaper than Envelopes.com does. 🙂
Thanks for checking out my post!!!
Have a great week everybody!
Just because an invitation is digital doesn’t mean that it has to be bland and boring. I was so excited when I figured out how to add a touch of glitter to my projects and I want to share some of the invitations I have done. Check out my Etsy site for what I already have listed. www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings

Here is a preview of a new invitation I am working on…
The colors can be customized for your wedding as well as the font and what the invitation says.
All of my invitations are 100% customizable and if you like an item from one invitation and want it incorporated into another that’s totally fine.
Cost: Each piece of your invitation package is $5 for the digital copy and I have the ability to have the items printed for you as well.
I know wedding season is upon us and wanted to throw this project I have been working on out there. 🙂
Hope you enjoy the invitations.
I cannot believe a year has gone by since WarmTidings opened for Business. It has been an incredible year both for the shop and for me.
The shop has evolved over the last year. From hand made cards in the beginning to now, loads of invitations for Birthdays, Weddings, and more.
The best part about the shop are the people who ask me to create something for them that they either saw somewhere else or it’s something in their head. The best part of it is that it’s another product that I can add to my site. It’s so cool to hear about other people’s ideas and it’s even more awesome when I get the rare glimpse into how my project actually made it to the party!
Thank you for your support of WarmTidings, check back often to see more and more new things. I have so many ideas I just have to get them created so that I can share with everybody.
Upcoming ideas: Mickey & Minnie themed birthday, Royal blue wedding invitations.

Thank you again for your support, now let’s get year 2 off to a great start!
Because I haven’t been doing the 31 days of Christmas this year. Moving to a new state over 900 miles away has kind of thrown off my schedule. I am getting into the holiday spirit and thinking about designing some holiday cards.
While I have posted three winter wedding invites, Check them out www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings, I need to expand my offerings.
I will have both digital and printed version available. My goal is to do a huge push for Holiday Cards starting November 1st. Let’s see if I can actually meet that goal.
I am also looking for ideas on how to promote my business and what the best way to expand. I really want this to take off and I need to spend more time on it, but any advice my readers can give is greatly appreciated!!!!
So not only have I been moving across the country I have continuously been fulfilling orders on my Etsy site WarmTidings (www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings). I can’t believe that I am up to 57 orders already and the shop has been open since March.
Along with fulfilling orders I have come up with some new designs of wedding invitations to add to my listings. I figure the more I have the more traffic I will get. So I created some traditional invitations to hopefully suite the needs of the masses. As always with my invites that colors, font and wording can be customized.
Here they are. Click on the picture to go to the site.
Next things on the list to create are some Halloween themed invites for parties, birthdays and weddings. Which actually I just came up with that idea as I was typing this up.
I also started creating invites for winter weddings. Crazy to think that winter weddings are just around the corner. Here is what I came up with.
I am also creating a super special birthday invite for a friend. So much to manage but I love it. Nothing better than being able to put your stamp on somebody’s special event!!
Hope you like the invites, as always I welcome feedback!!
Thanks for visiting!
I have been working on some new things, clearly. I also have some other great blog ideas so I’m hoping that some time will free up soon. HA like that’s going to happen, watch for a blog post about managing a busy life. 🙂
I wanted to share a new collection of invitations that I did for my Etsy site, WarmTidings. Next steps will be to create Thank yous, and other printable items available soon. So my dear readers, please if you know anybody getting married and needing invitations or anything else, I work for cheap.
Now on to the good stuff. I wanted to come up with an invitation that wasn’t really theamy, yes I just made up a word. The thing that I love about these is that I can customize the color to whatever you want it to be. The one thing I have noticed when you go to a printer or an invitation place, you are stuck with what they have and you can’t customize the wording. Or if you can customize the wording you can’t customize the color. And that’s where I come in.
I will create an invitation in less an 12 hours (typically) and send you a JPG file with the invitation to your exact specifications. You can print them yourself or I can have them printed for you and they are done.
Finally, the moment you have been waiting for, here is Simply Elegant
Thank you so much for visiting today!!! Please be sure to check out the Etsy Site WarmTidings

Let’s get started TODAY!!!! Ok here is the website (the link is to the right too)
I wanted to take a quick minute to explain how my invitations for the Etsy site WarmTidings to life. I’m not always able to get a my laptop the minute I think of something new so I have to “write it down”
I don’t know if I will ever get away from using paper at some point in my creative process and that’s ok. I have a number of sketches and if I draw it out then it’s faster for me to create something exciting if I see a “template”.
The biggest hangup I have is when I have a design idea and then once I get to a place where I can write it down I can’t remember what it is. It’s so frustrating.
My laptop is always on and I am creating every chance I get. This will help me keep my site fresh and exciting!
Now this is dedication, I am creating and fufilling orders while I’m cooking dinner. If that’s not dedication I don’t know what is.
Latest Etsy site updates:
I created a second set of listings for each of the Wedding invites. If you want just the digital copy and you are going to get them printed yourself then there is a listing for that. What’s new is that if you want me to print them for you in sets of 100 then I have a specific listing for that as well.
I am so excited about this venture and I am hoping to really get some momentum! If you have a minute please go and check out the site WarmTidings and please leave a comment to let me know what you like and don’t like. What can I do better to be more appealing to customers?
I am creating some more things and will be sharing throughout the weekend and next wee so watch for those. 🙂
Coming up tomorrow a Bistro/Coffee shop Save the Date. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today!
I am so excited that I got to hand deliver my first Wedding invitation.
I have never been so nervous to place and receive and order before in my life, but I could not have been happier with how they turned out.
As you can see they turned out FANTASTIC. So now it was time to take them to the bride. So me and my son made the hike to take them to WI. He was very much anticipating the FROZEN party that he got to go to that day, but I told him we had one stop to make and the he could get a cookie if he was good in the car. I was actually hoping he would nap but didn’t…ugh. So anyway, we get there and I show them to the bride and…
She LOVED them!!!!! You have no idea how happy that made me.
I am so excited to do more weddings and be able to create something for these brides (and grooms) for their special day.
I currently have 4 Fall themed wedding invites up for sale on my Etsy Site. www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings. I have ideas for more it’s just getting the time to actually create them. There will be a post on that later.

I can do more than 100 just need to increased by increments of 50.
Even if you are not having a wedding please check out my site, I have invitations and cards for a variety of events. All cards and invitations can be customized to fit your needs!
Thanks for reading today. Stop back later in the week for more Crafty and Organizing fun!!!
I am still trying to get my Etsy site up and running. I have had orders but would love to have orders for some of my higher ticket items. I don’t want to give them away but at the same time, I don’t want to break the bank for my customers. I wouldn’t spend a ton on this stuff so I can’t ask my customers to. At least, not at this point because I am just starting out.
As you have seen in previous posts I am now creating custom wedding invitations. I have some new examples below. Be sure to check it out and if you know ANYBODY getting married or getting engaged please forward them to me. I would be happy to create all of their invitations, place cards, etc.
Now for a little bit of fun…
I even have a helper helping me create some of these new creations.
I’m even creating projects in the kitchen while making dinner!!!
