So as most of you know I have an etsy site where I have some custom Wedding invitations.
If you don’t know already it’s here. www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings You can also click on the light to the right of this post.
Anyway a friend at work is getting married and found an invitation that she liked and asked if I could do something like it for her. I of course said “No Problem”. We then got into the discussion of printing the invitations. Initially we were going to have them printed by a third party but then wasn’t sure if we could get the envelopes to look right and she couldn’t have all of the size cards that she wanted.
Envelopes.com came to the rescue. I could get all of the sizes that she wanted for her cards and have envelopes that coordinated perfectly. All I had to do was make sure that…
- I could size the pieces accordingly so that they printed nicely
- My printer actually was ok with such heavy cardstock.
#1 wasn’t a problem. #2 was a different story. Thank goodness I still had my backup printer for the cardstock.
So I printed everything using one printer for the cards and the other for the envelopes. Because everything was one color and I used the color of the card to supply the background it didn’t use a whole lot of ink so that was super exciting.
Using an Excel template I printed all of the guest envelopes as well so there was no hand writing involved. I also did the return address on the flap of the envelope so all the bride had to do was put them together and put stamps on. She also added a ribbon to the invitation to put them all together.
The best part about this was that the total weight of the invitation was light so she only needed one stamp on the outside envelope.
The other upside for the bride was that it turned out that she needed more than what we initially had thought and because I ordered extras it was no problem to print more for her. A task not so easy if we had used a commercial printer to print everything.
This was a super fun project and I hope to help other brides with their invitation in the future.
Also if anybody needs envelopes printed for anything please reach out. I charge $0.25 per envelope, FYI way cheaper than Envelopes.com does. 🙂
Thanks for checking out my post!!!
Have a great week everybody!
I know it’s been a long time and I am so sorry. I am still trying to get my act together since the move and we are STILL trying to settle in. More on that in another post…
I am excited to share the newest section on the my Etsy site WarmTidings. It’s Wall Art Quotes. In one of my various mom groups on Facebook a lady posted that she wanted quotes for her daughter’s room. I mentioned that I had a site and that I would be happy to create something for her and well this is what we came up with. (If you click on the picture it will take you to the listing. )
The best thing about digital files is that it is so easy to create exactly what somebody wants because everything can be altered. I’m excited about this part of the shop just because I have always loved quotes and I find them so inspiring. Plus it’s one of the most clicked on things on the blog. 😀
All quote prints are just $7 for any size or customization.
What are some of your favorite quotes or sayings??
Have a great rest of your day!!!!
Be back soon with all of my moving drama, the 1,000 mile journey continues….
Winter is almost here and well I am already thinking Spring. What doesn’t scream spring more than Daisies? I have added a new collection to WarmTidings all around Daisies.
- Save the date
- Other items needed for your reception, Table tents, place cards and more.
I am hoping to expand this line of items throughout the WarmTidings designs and expand the business in 2015.
Also expanding the Sample and printing options as I am trying to take them in house to keep the prices really low and the lead times really fast.
Also coming more kids party invitations and party supplies along with printing services
Please please please share my shop with your friends and family. If they are having a party or gathering I would LOVE to do their invitations!!!
Also don’t forget to like my Facebook Page The Crafty Organizer for ideas and tips for getting organized and not going crazy throughout the Holiday season and into 2015.
Don’t forget about your holiday cards. Place your custom orders today. All digital files only $5 for a one of a kind card that you can get printed wherever you want!!
I also apologize for not doing the 31 days of Christmas this year but with all of my moving (whole other blog post) it wasn’t in the cards this year. Maybe I will do something in those months that I am basically home bound once it starts snowing. And…that’s any day now. If anybody is following the news you saw that Buffalo NY got FEET of snow, not inches. Luckily for me, although I live in New York, I am nowhere near there. The snow can stay away just a bit longer
So for the real reason I am writing a blog post.
I am a little late in getting the Holiday Cards out there but here they are. You can click on the Picture below to go directly to my Etsy Site.
New for this year if you don’t want to print the cards and address envelopes. I am happy to do it for you. I just need your address list either in Word or Excel and I will get them sent out by Mid-December.
I hope you like the designs. Feedback is always appreciated!!!!
Watch for more blog posts about my 1,000 Journey. Yup, that’s still going on, it’s a never ending battle I’m afraid. Also now that we are hopefully going to be settled, at least for now, I will get some crafting done. I’m excited to share what I have up my sleeve.

I wanted to create something that had the menu board, inspired by the first wedding invite that I did. Once I got the idea in my head I had to go hunting through my digital embellishments to figure out what I had and what I didn’t. Turns out that I didn’t have any of it. So it was time to create.
Using my friend Google image search I got ideas for the the menu board and the table and chairs. It was for sure fun to create and it really took me out of my normal template type card. I hope you like it.
