Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

I hope everybody is having a fantastic holiday season and that everybody was on the “nice” list this year.   I am enjoying some much needed down time and sharing a blog post while finishing up some gifts for my family that is over 1,000 miles away.

Yes they are aware that their gifts are not coming until after Christmas.

What is amazing to me is how much more I talk with my family now that I am so far away in New York and they are in WI.   While we do text and email and Facebook.  I have actually talked to them more lately than I did pretty much ever when I was still in the Midwest.   I guess the saying “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” applies to family as well!

This is the first Holiday season where we are alone, nowhere to go it’s just us, and that’s okay.  We can do whatever we want on our schedule.  It’s been nice.

So while the boys are napping I am catching up on stuff and getting things take care of off my list.

I have big plans for the blog in 2016 so stay tuned.  I have notes of at least half a dozen blog posts and I have to get moving.  It’s just a matter of getting ahead mainly because I have no idea what is going to be in store for me from January to May 1st.  I guess that’s what happens when you work for a tax company.  No I am not doing people’s taxes, but I might as well be.   Now I just have to get rid of this cold this week and get a ton of rest before that’s not an option either.

Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody!!!

Time to get cracking on Christmas

So sorry friends that I didn’t do the 31 days of Christmas this year.  We are still trying to get settled in our new home and I am still figuring out the new job.  So keeping up with Etsy orders is about all I can do on a day to day basis.

With that said the Holidays are right around the corner.  I can’t even believe it.  So I need to get cracking on making some gifts happen because now because we live so much further away from everybody I need to get things done and shipped way earlier than usual.  No more last minute gifts for us which makes me excited and nervous all at the same time.

So with that said it’s time to get my craftiness on and make some Christmas cards and start thinking about the infamous Black Friday shopping.  We are excited to start some new family traditions in our new home.

So stay tuned for more exciting projects coming and as I create new things I will be sure to share them with you!!  🙂

Stay crafty people!!!

Holiday Cards are coming

Because I haven’t been doing the 31 days of Christmas this year.  Moving to a new state over 900 miles away has kind of thrown off my schedule.  I am getting into the holiday spirit and thinking about designing some holiday cards.

While I have posted three winter wedding invites, Check them out, I need to expand my offerings.

I will have both digital and printed version available.   My goal is to do a huge push for Holiday Cards starting November 1st.  Let’s see if I can actually meet that goal.

I am also looking for ideas on how to promote my business and what the best way to expand.  I really want this to take off and I need to spend more time on it, but any advice my readers can give is greatly appreciated!!!!

Want to see what my Christmas cards look like???

Here they are.  All 22 of them.

I got all of the “Pictures” printed at Walgreens and bought the cards at Michael’s on sale.  So, for under $1 each I have 22 different cards that I will then put a picture of my 2 little boys (the baby and the dog) for everybody to enjoy this holiday season.

Thank you again for following along this year.  Stay with me as I continue with other projects and organization tips.  I already have my list for November so get ready!!!!!

Hope everybody has a wonderful and Safe Halloween night!!!!

31 Days of Christmas: Day 19 – The Joy of Photo Gifts

Because digital photography is huge it’s no surprise that photo gifts are on the rise.    The hardest part is not finding the picture to use it’s finding the right place to have your photo gifts printed.  In all honesty, go with the least expensive place.  However, make sure you pay attention to the shipping cost and the time it takes to produce your product.   Also, when you are going to get something printed make sure you do your research and don’t use the first website you find.  Everybody is competitive and wants your business but prices can all be very different

Like I said before, you can basically put a photo on anything.  Here are some examples.

Here are some websites to give you ideas for cool photo gifts

Pictures above came from Snapfish, but these are the standard items.  I personally think I have to have the notebook.  I mean come on, look at the name of my blog and well I am a sucker for any type of paper, call it a sickness I guess.

Thanks for stopping by tonight.  Stay tuned for a project tomorrow.

Happy Saturday everybody!!!

31 Days of Christmas: Day 5 – Quotes

I did find an awesome website that I found most of these.

31 Days of Christmas: Day 1

It’s October again and it’s time to start thinking about the holidays and getting ahead of the game.   I am taking a little bit different of an approach this year, it’s only the 2nd year so I’m allowed.  🙂

Weekdays will be cards.  Mainly digital media created by your’s truly with an option to make it in more of a traditional format.  See below for what I mean with this one.  Then Saturday/Sunday posts will be decorations and gifts.

CARD:  Digital Media with a traditional Option

All of the cards can be printed on 4×6 photo paper, or card stock  or have them printed at Walgreen’s, Target, etc what ever is cheapest and paste to pre-folded card stock.  I get my pack’s at Michael’s and they come in White, Cream, and Black.  Use your coupon and you have very inexpensive Christmas Cards

31 Days of Christmas - Day 1 - Page 001

Want the same card but with more of a traditional flair.

Print the following picture on Card stock on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and cut out the embellishments and layer on a card.  Add your own flair, glitter, other embellishments, the sky is the limit.

Pages for 31 Days of Christmas - Day 1 - Page 001
