Anyway a friend at work is getting married and found an invitation that she liked and asked if I could do something like it for her. I of course said “No Problem”. We then got into the discussion of printing the invitations. Initially we were going to have them printed by a third party but then wasn’t sure if we could get the envelopes to look right and she couldn’t have all of the size cards that she wanted.
Envelopes.com came to the rescue. I could get all of the sizes that she wanted for her cards and have envelopes that coordinated perfectly. All I had to do was make sure that…
I could size the pieces accordingly so that they printed nicely
My printer actually was ok with such heavy cardstock.
#1 wasn’t a problem. #2 was a different story. Thank goodness I still had my backup printer for the cardstock.
So I printed everything using one printer for the cards and the other for the envelopes. Because everything was one color and I used the color of the card to supply the background it didn’t use a whole lot of ink so that was super exciting.
Using an Excel template I printed all of the guest envelopes as well so there was no hand writing involved. I also did the return address on the flap of the envelope so all the bride had to do was put them together and put stamps on. She also added a ribbon to the invitation to put them all together.
The best part about this was that the total weight of the invitation was light so she only needed one stamp on the outside envelope.
The other upside for the bride was that it turned out that she needed more than what we initially had thought and because I ordered extras it was no problem to print more for her. A task not so easy if we had used a commercial printer to print everything.
This was a super fun project and I hope to help other brides with their invitation in the future.
Also if anybody needs envelopes printed for anything please reach out. I charge $0.25 per envelope, FYI way cheaper than Envelopes.com does. 🙂
Just because an invitation is digital doesn’t mean that it has to be bland and boring. I was so excited when I figured out how to add a touch of glitter to my projects and I want to share some of the invitations I have done. Check out my Etsy site for what I already have listed. www.etsy.com/shop/WarmTidings

The colors can be customized for your wedding as well as the font and what the invitation says.
All of my invitations are 100% customizable and if you like an item from one invitation and want it incorporated into another that’s totally fine.
Cost: Each piece of your invitation package is $5 for the digital copy and I have the ability to have the items printed for you as well.
I know wedding season is upon us and wanted to throw this project I have been working on out there. 🙂
I wanted to create a couple of different ideas that were fitting for a joint shower or for if it is a special day.

Thanks for visiting today. Time to create some more fantastic things. 🙂
I just posted another wedding invitation design onto Etsy. I’m so excited about these creations and being able to take something that’s in my head a bring it to life. I hope you like them.
I believe that custom things don’t have to be expensive. Designed wedding invites that you print yourself are $30. If you want me to get them printed for you then it’s $1.50 per invite, which includes, invitation with envelope and RSVP as a post card.
Hope you like the design, would love any feedback that you have!!!
See you later in the week with some more creations!!!!
I got asked by a friend of my sister’s to create her wedding invite. Because I am always up for the challenge I was happy to help her out. She showed me some ideas that she had and what she liked so then I ran with it. After about a week of work (that’s with working and fulfilling other orders) I got her a first pass and she was so happy with the results.
If you or somebody you know are looking for custom wedding invites, save the dates, or anything else please feel free to send me a note on etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/warmtidings by clicking on Contact the shop owner on the left.
I try really had to keep the invite cost to be right around $1.50 per invite. That includes all envelopes and enclosures and my “creative time” I will have them printed and I will send them to you if you don’t live near me. If you know what you want and have all of your information we could have printed invites within 2 weeks.
Please check out my shop for some other things I have created. I am working on some mock ups of invites and I will be posting those soon!
Hope you will check out the store and let me know if you are interested in any of my services 🙂
